On Saturday, November 6, over 27,000 people from 102 countries participated in Catmosphere's Catwalk to raise awareness for Big Cat conservation. Thomas Kaplan, Panthera’s founder, said Catwalk has the potential to be the most consequential cat conservation awareness campaign ever undertaken.

This 7 km virtual walk or run got so many people involved, and for that, we are truly thankful. We are so happy to know so many people care about protecting Big Cats and the landscapes in which they live.

Our New York City office crew Catwalked with our CEO, Fred Launay!

Staff in South Africa showed which cat team they were walking for!

While Catwalk was already in full swing, supporters showed their stripes or spots by joining their specific cat team! By midday, our co-founder and Global Alliance Chair Tom Kaplan motivated us more to continue our catwalk to raise our voices for our beloved cats.

Our staff in Mexico and Costa Rica and beyond all cheered for jaguars (even our favorite scat detection dog Tigre)!

And our staff from Seattle, Washington catwalked in the rain for snow leopards!

Our team in Washington state, led by the Panthera Puma Program and Katy Bowman from Nutritious Movement, raised their voices to protect their beloved pumas!

And the winning cat was the leopard! While all cats are faced with numerous threats, we remember why we walk — to raise our voices and make change happen for our planet, everything in it and our own lives. Thanks for Catwalking!
