Giving Tuesday (Two pumas in Chile)
@ Sebastian Kennerknecht

Giving Tuesday is December 2

This year, your compassion can echo across the wild. All donations to Panthera will be matched dollar-for-dollar by The Ayers Wild Cat Conservation Trust through December 31, 2025, up to $500,000. All gifts are tax-deductible. And every dollar will go twice as far to protect wild cats and the places they call home.

Panthera is devoted exclusively to the conservation of the world’s 40 wild cat species and their ecosystems. Thanks to supporters like you, your impact reaches across the globe, including:

  • Empowering Future Conservation Leaders. Through the Winston Cobb Memorial Fellowship, Panthera is nurturing the next generation of scientists and advocates devoted to protecting wild cats.

  • Safeguarding the West African Leopard. Panthera scientists led a new IUCN SSC Cat Specialist Group assessment, resulting in the Endangered classification of the West African leopard, a population found across 11 countries. This recognition paves the way for stronger protection efforts.
  • Protecting the Indochinese Tiger. In Thailand’s Dong Phayayen–Khao Yai Forest Complex, one of only two remaining habitats for this Critically Endangered subspecies in the country, Panthera and partners fitted GPS collars on three tigers, including two sisters, to strengthen long-term monitoring and protection.
  • Conserving Big Cats in South Africa’s Sabi Sands. Through collaboration with reserve managers and scientists, Panthera supports innovative citizen-science and conservation in one of the world’s most iconic leopard habitats.
  • Promoting Jaguar Coexistence. A new Animals study by Panthera scientists found that anti-depredation tools effectively prevent jaguar attacks on livestock and are cost-efficient, fostering peaceful coexistence across Latin America.
  • Expanding Furs for Life. Panthera’s 12-year effort to reduce leopard poaching by distributing synthetic, high quality Heritage Furs now includes a partnership with the Ngoni Royal Establishment of Zambia. To date, over 7,500 leopards may have been saved through the distribution of 22,000 synthetic furs.
  • Innovating with Technology. In Chile, Panthera and researchers from the Research Center of Technologies for Society at the Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile co-developed Blink+A, a prototype deterrent using flashing lights and sound to keep carnivores away from livestock.
  • Combating Wildlife Crime. Through our Counter Wildlife Crime program, we train rangers and disrupt illegal trade networks threatening wild cats.

These achievements belong to all of us — but the challenges remain immense. Habitat loss, poaching and climate change continue to threaten wild cats everywhere.

When you give before December 31, your donation will be matched 1:1, fueling twice the research, protection and hope for wild cats.

Give today and double your impact on wild cats.
