Dr. Pizarro is a veterinarian with experience in terrestrial wildlife conservation, particularly with great apes and felines in Africa, Asia and South America. She also has experience in managing human-wildlife conflict, developing coexistence programs and advocating for conservation medicine to reduce threats to biodiversity. As the Coordinator of Counter Wildlife Crime for Panthera Colombia, she leads efforts against the illegal trafficking of wild felines, fostering collaborations between various governmental and non-governmental organizations in the Peruvian and Colombian Amazon.
