Alex Varga

Alex Varga is the Director, Impact Assesment at Panthera.

Alex joined Panthera in 2015 as the Tiger Program Manager and transitioned to working on strategy development for Panthera’s species and regional programs.  

In her current role, she is overseeing the adoption of the Conservation Standards planning framework across all Panthera projects and building tools for better aggregating impact. 

Alex holds an M.P.A. in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a B.S. In Environmental Science and International Affairs from the University of New Hampshire.  

Prior to Panthera, Alex was Assistant Director at the Earth Institute Center for Environmental Sustainability at Columbia University.
