In a monumental stride towards advancing wildlife conservation efforts in Saudi Arabia, Panthera is proud to announce the establishment of Panthera Saudi Arabia. This significant development marks a pivotal moment in our mission to protect the world’s wild cats and their habitats, now extending our reach into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Peninsula.  

Panthera Saudi Arabia aims to forge partnerships, laying the groundwork for collaborative efforts that prioritize the conservation of the Arabian leopard and other native wildlife species. The Kingdom’s unique biodiversity presents both challenges and opportunities, and Panthera is committed to leveraging its expertise and global network to safeguard these invaluable natural treasures.

At the helm of this new endeavor stands Her Highness Princess Abeer bint Saud Al Saud, who assumes the role of Panthera’s General Manager for Saudi Arabia. Her appointment signifies a profound commitment to conservation leadership within the region, aligning with Panthera’s global vision.

As Panthera Saudi Arabia takes its inaugural steps, we are eager to engage and foster dialogue and collaboration in the Kingdom that will drive meaningful conservation outcomes. Today, with fewer than 200 Arabian leopards remaining worldwide, they serve as a poignant reminder of the Kingdom’s rich biodiversity. This underscores the urgent need for focused conservation efforts to ensure the survival of this iconic species for generations to come.
