Yves Pinsonneault

Chief Network Officer Yves Pinsonneault

Yves Pinsonneault is Chief Network Officer at Panthera, where he oversees the governance, compliance, and administrative operations of Panthera’s network of regional hub offices and affiliated entities across 22 countries and four continents.
 
Yves brings more than two decades of experience in conservation and sustainable development, having worked across more than 40 countries with global non-governmental organizations and start-up companies. He began his career as a wildlife biologist across Canada, working on different species such as muskox, reindeer, coyote, peregrine falcon, and fisher. He then moved to Nepal and Cambodia where he worked as a consultant on various environmental projects for several years; including a tiger study in Nepal.
 
Yves spent over 17 years at Conservation International in a series of increasingly senior leadership roles. As Vice President of Global Program Support, he led a global division supporting all field programs with project implementation. He also served as Acting Country Program Lead for the Democratic Republic of the Congo. More recently, he served as Special Advisor at the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, supporting a national climate-smart forestry initiative in Canada. He also served as Chief Development and Marketing Officer at Viridis Terra International, where he led fundraising, partnerships, and global communications efforts, including securing the organization’s largest partnership with a Fortune 500 technology company to scale landscape restoration initiatives.
 
Yves is originally from Montreal, Canada, and is fluent in English and French. He holds a Master of Science in Zoology from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from McGill University.
