The Arabian Leopard Fund and Panthera Arabia, one of the world’s leading organisations dedicated to small cat and wild cat conservation, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening regional and international efforts to protect the Arabian Leopard, one of the world’s most endangered subspecies, in conjunction with World Wildlife Day.

This partnership is established under a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two parties to enhance cooperation in conserving the Arabian Leopard across its natural habitats in the Arabian Peninsula. The collaboration focuses on protecting priority habitats, developing breeding programmes, implementing capacity-building initiatives, as well as launching community awareness programmes and addressing challenges that threaten the sustainability of wildlife.

Announcing this partnership on this global occasion underscores the importance of unifying international efforts and advancing collaboration based on sustainable scientific solutions to ensure the survival of the Arabian Leopard for future generations.

The partnership also reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to its leading role in environmental protection and wildlife conservation, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative, particularly in advancing environmental sustainability, protecting biodiversity, and strengthening collective environmental action.
